Dr. Vouros is an active researcher participating on numerous National and EU funding projects and networks of excellence for over 20 years. His current research interests include thermal turbulence, heat transfer and thermofluids, two – phase flows and fluid mechanics – hydraulics with applications in energy environment and aeronautics. His main activity is related in the design and test of experimental facilities according to measurements and statistical analysis of turbulent flowfields. His experimental work during the projects participated and in his Ph.D thesis, give rise the perspective of a positive participation on such extended project. Recently the researcher has constructed and tested several experimental facilities suitable for the conduction of experiments on FHD / MHD flows, by applying magnetic field of line – source dipoles and rings. As an assistant professor of the Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics Dept. he has supervised several graduate thesis testing the experimental facilities.
